Are you ready for excellence?
We are a vibrant team that strives to create educational opportunities in rural China in order to narrow the inequality gap. A&A was founded in June 2018 by Alice H. Hsu, Esq. (University of Michigan, Honors Collge, B.A.; Boston University J.D.) and Anita Wang (Yale-China Association trustee). Alice is a New York and Massachusetts registered attorney and has worked and lived in Taiwan, USA, France, The Netherlands, Hong Kong and China. Anita is an international business consultant and served on the Yale-China Association as a trustee for the past 6 years. Alice and Anita are both passionate about issues facing poverty-stricken rural China. Through education and research, they are dedicated to gaining a broader understanding of rural Chinese school systems, to finding solutions to the challenges they face and to creating quality education opportunities for the children in rural China. Alice and Anita see themselves as "lifetime learners and teachers" and hope that they will inspire children in the rural regions of China to also "fall in love" with learning for their lifetimes.
A&A Center for Excellence, located in Zhenping County, Henan Province is constantly looking for partnerships to carry out our work in rural China. We welcome research institutions that are interested in rural China to contact us. We believe that a cooperation between China and the world is necessary in order to be successful in what we do and do what we believe in.
To bring about social change in “poverty-stricken” rural areas of China through education, research and technology by transforming these communities into "educational meccas" and "model villages" of modern society while encouraging the motto “experience globally, contribute locally.”
The mission of the friendship school program is for schools to connect and interact with a friendship-school in another country. We will provide you with a curriculum to communicate as penpals and/or through Scratch, Zoom, etcetera. Students will learn more about each other through writing, reading, and video messages.
To create the opportunity for students to open their world view and become friends with students in countries with different cultures, habits, and languages.
We currently run penpal programs between USA schools and schools in rural China and we are looking for expansion. Is your school ready to cooperate with a school from rural China. With our experience, we help you with a specialized curriculum that helps you with all facets including language barriers to meet the needs of the schools and teachers.
Provide your information in the section below as detailed as possible. Please include the level of your students so we can match with students of the same age in China. If you have any preferences for your future friendship partner school please include that in the information section.
After the information is submitted we will contact you to set up a (Zoom) meeting to discuss the program in more detail. We are looking forward to meeting you!
